Nippon Telesoft will be participating in “SightMe,” which will be held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates from February 13th to 15th. This is the largest exhibition of equipment for the visually impaired in the Arab region, and many related parties from the Middle East and Africa will be participating.
Our company will exhibit and demonstrate our Braille printer “Multi” as well as our Braille display “Seika.” This will be our first time participating in an equipment exhibition in the Middle East.

Nippon Telesoft participated in the Sight City exhibition of welfare equipment for the visually impaired held in Frankfurt for three days from May 18th, where they showcased their braille printer and braille display “Seika”.

This exhibition is a global-scale exhibition comparable to CSUN and ATIA in the United States, and attracted many visually impaired people as well as specialists from around the world, making it a great success. Demonstrations of the latest equipment were also held, including magnifying reading devices for the visually impaired, OCR machines with text-to-speech functions, and walking aids.

Our braille printer “GEMINI” is compatible with languages ​​from around the world and can print both braille and ink characters, which attracted the attention of stakeholders and led to new proposals for its use. There are other devices that can print quickly and inexpensively, but there is no other device that is quiet and supports both braille and ink characters in the world’s languages, so we expect overseas sales to increase in the future.

In addition to the portable Seika MINI, there are five other types of braille display “Seika”. A new prototype “PC Braille” with a built-in PC was exhibited, which attracted attention.

Members of the Asian region’s blind associations held their biannual regular conference in Hong Kong for four days from November 20th. Opinions were exchanged on a wide range of topics, including the provision of various information due to advances in information technology, education, and employment issues.

Our company participated in the attached exhibition, exhibiting braille printers and braille displays, which were well received. Ten other companies from the US, UK, South Korea, etc. participated in the exhibition, exhibiting magnifying reading machines and reading and text-to-speech devices with OCR functions.

Our booth was visited by people from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Mongolia, who eagerly checked out the explanations on how to operate the equipment.
